Every year, on September 13, Romanian Firemen’s Day is celebrated, a day in which the Battle of Dealul Spirii is remembered, which took place in 1848 in Bucharest between the fire company led by Captain Pavel Zăgănescu and an army corps of the Ottoman Empire.On this occasion, we would like to convey to the volunteer firefighters from the city of Recas all our gratitude and thanks for their intervention in emergency situations, for the permanent risk they are subject to in saving lives and material goods of fellow citizens in the community..
